Chocolate, whipped cream & cherries… the perfect trio

📝 Ingredients (Serves 6–8)
For the chocolate sponge roll

  • 4 eggs
  • 100 g sugar
  • 80 g all-purpose flour
  • 20 g unsweetened cocoa powder

1 packet vanilla sugar (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)

  • A pinch of salt
  • For the filling
  • 300 ml cold heavy cream
  • 40 g powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

For the syrup (optional but recommended)

100 ml water

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon cherry syrup or kirsch (optional)

  • For decoration
  • Candied cherries or morello cherries
  • Chocolate shavings
  • Chocolate sauce
