10 common hygiene mistakes we all make

The right thing to do:  rinse it well after use, let it dry completely outside the shower and replace it every 3 to 4 weeks.

  1. Share the towels

Even among close friends and family, sharing a towel is not harmless and can promote the transmission of germs.

The right approach:  one towel per person, changed regularly, ideally once or twice a week depending on usage.

  1. Neglecting to change the bed linens

Our sheets accumulate perspiration, dead skin cells and cosmetic residue.

The right thing to do:  wash your sheets once a week to preserve your skin and keep it feeling fresh.

  1. Forgetting to clean your phone

We touch it all day and put it everywhere… but we often forget that it concentrates many bacteria.

The right thing to do:  wipe every day with a soft, slightly damp cloth or a wipe suitable for screens.

  1. Wash your hair every day

Contrary to popular belief, washing your hair too often can weaken the scalp and stimulate sebum production.

The right approach:  adapt the frequency to your hair type; for most people, two to three washes per week are sufficient.

  1. Improper maintenance of your toothbrush

A wet and poorly rinsed brush can accumulate residue and impurities.

The right thing to do:  rinse it well after each use, let it air dry and replace it every three months, or sooner if the bristles are damaged.

  1. Applying deodorant without being clean

Deodorant does not replace washing and does not permanently mask uncleaned skin.

The right thing to do:  always apply it to clean, dry skin, right after showering or washing.

  1. Reusing bottles without washing them

Uncleaned bottles or flasks can develop odors, residues, and bacteria.

The right approach:  use quality reusable water bottles and wash them daily in hot water with dish soap.

  1. Forget about the back of the ears

This area is often neglected, even though it easily accumulates sweat and residue.

The right thing to do:  clean it every day in the shower with a little soap, without rubbing excessively.
