Facebook user Alicia Alexander shared her success story: she placed a shallow bowl filled halfway with olive oil outside in her garden or on her deck. Within 24 hours, a surprising number of earwigs had gathered in the bowl — and after 36 hours, even more!
Why It Works
Earwigs seem attracted to the olive oil and climb into the bowl, but then can’t escape. This natural trap captures many earwigs without the need for harsh chemicals.
