Deep-Fried Marshmallows

Instructions

 

Step 1 – Heat the Oil

  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).

  • Never leave hot oil unattended.

Step 2 – Make the Batter

  • Whisk pancake mix, water, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl until smooth.

Step 3 – Prepare the Coating

  • Place graham cracker crumbs in a shallow bowl.

Step 4 – Coat the Marshmallows

  • Optional: Insert a toothpick or skewer into each marshmallow for control and even cooking.

  • Dip marshmallow in batter until fully coated.

  • Roll in graham cracker crumbs.

Step 5 – Fry the Marshmallows

  • Keep oil temperature between 350–375°F (175–190°C).

  • Fry 1–2 marshmallows at a time for 30–60 seconds until golden brown.

  • Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Step 6 – Serve

  • Let cool slightly before eating.

  • Optional: Dust with powdered sugar and serve with chocolate sauce.
