Step 2: Sterilize the jar
Wash the glass jar and lid well with hot water and soap. Rinse thoroughly and let it dry completely. A clean, dry jar is important for keeping the mixture fresh.
Step 3: Fill the jar
Place the peeled garlic cloves into the jar. Do not pack them too tightly. Leave a little space so the honey can flow around them.
Step 4: Add the honey
Pour the honey slowly over the garlic until all the cloves are completely covered. Use a spoon to press the garlic gently if needed, helping remove trapped air bubbles. Make sure no garlic is sticking out above the honey.
Step 5: Close and rest
Seal the jar loosely at first and leave it at room temperature for a short time. Then close it properly and store it in a cool place. Over the next few days, the honey will become thinner as it mixes with the moisture from the garlic. This is normal.
Step 6: Let the flavors develop
For the best flavor, let the jar sit for about 3 to 7 days before using. Some people prefer to wait even longer for a deeper taste. During this time, turn the jar gently once a day to keep everything coated.
