How to use Vicks VapoRub to get rid of pests?

The problem:  These little insects love ripe fruit and peels.
The trick:  An open jar of Vicks on the counter or near the fruit basket  helps mask the sweet smells they detect from a distance.

Precautions to remember

• It’s not a miracle solution:  Vicks doesn’t kill, it repels. Perfect for mild, occasional infestations.
• Renew regularly:  Its effectiveness decreases over time.
• Keep out of reach of children and animals:  Despite its apparent harmlessness, it is best to avoid any contact or accidental ingestion.
