Mix the pudding powder with a little of the milk and the 3 tbsp of sugar until smooth.
Bring the remaining milk to a boil, then stir in the pudding mixture.
Let it simmer for about 1 minute while stirring, then remove from the heat and let it cool slightly, stirring occasionally.
2οΈβ£ Prepare the dough:
Beat the butter with sugar, vanilla sugar, and eggs until creamy.
Gradually stir in the flour and baking powder.
Spread the dough evenly onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
3οΈβ£ Add the custard layer:
Spread the slightly cooled custard evenly over the dough and smooth it out.
4οΈβ£ Make the crumble:
Combine flour, sugar, and butter using your hands or a mixer to form crumbles.
Sprinkle the crumbles evenly over the custard layer.
5οΈβ£ Bake:
Bake in a preheated oven at 190Β°C (convection) for about 35β40 minutes, until the crumbles are golden brown.

The cake tastes best freshly baked, but it stays wonderfully moist even the next day!
