We found this in our bathroom. When I first saw it, I was really scαred.

All that dread had been aimed at a fragile, sleeping thing, quietly becoming something else. Something not dangerous at all—just unfinished. A life paused between what it was and what it would become.

My husband let out a laugh first, sharp and relieved, like a balloon finally punctured 🎈😅. I followed, and suddenly the tension that had filled the room collapsed into something lighter, almost tender. We stood there a moment longer than necessary, looking at it—not with fear anymore, but with a strange kind of respect.

Because the truth is, it hadn’t changed. Only our understanding had.

And that realization lingered longer than the laughter.

How many other “threats” in our lives are really just transformations we don’t yet understand? 🐛➡️🦋💭
